8. wave-scan link: Direct data transfer to Excel

The auto-chart

software includes an Excel workbook for direct transfer of measurement

data from the instrument. This report is beneficial if only a few samples are measured and

need to be evaluated and documented.

The measurements can be performed with the instrument being in the:

- Programmed Mode (Organizer files are stored in the device) or in the

- Memory Mode (no Organizer files are stored)

The workbook is located in the auto-chart main directory of your installation. Search in

your file manager for the file "wave-scan_link.xls and open this file. The report displays a

spreadsheet with the measured values and can show the Structure Spectrum, here an

example with transfered data:

The workbook includes a special Toolbar with the necessary functions:

First check the Com Port selection under "Configuration" (1). Then start transmission from

the instrument with the "Transfer" button (2).

A dialog box appears which allows to select the appropriate measurement series. After

selection with double click or "OK", the data are transfered and appear in the spreadsheet.

The "Show/Hide Graphic" button (3) allows to display the Structure Spectrum.
